You are not alone!

Venous disease is common – more common than heart disease and stroke. Approximately 24 million Americans suffer from venous insufficiency ranging from small varicose veins to leg swelling to chronic ulcers. Early treatment is essential to prevent progression to these more severe stages. You may have heard that “they are just varicose veins, there is nothing to worry about”, but you should come in and see for yourself.

Symptoms

Good vein health goes beyond appearance. Don’t ignore symptoms which might indicate more serious underlying venous disease. Key symptoms include:
  • Unsightly “spider” veins on your legs
  • Leg pain, swelling, or fatigue
  • Tingling or itching in your legs
  • Reddened or discolored skin on your legs, ankles, or feet
  • Ulceration of the skin on your legs or ankles
  • Small or even large clusters of veins on your leg
  • Night cramps in your legs
These symptoms may indicate conditions such as varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, venous ulcers, spider veins, or blood clots.
