Pediatrics Residency

How to Apply

Apply to Pediatric Residency

Thank you for your interest in our training program

We participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and only accept applications in this manner. Applications will be available for download in October and we start to review them shortly thereafter.

We require three letters of recommendation. A Chairman's letter is encouraged but not required. We accept either USMLE (preferred) or COMLEX and don't have a required minimum score but we will only offer interviews after you have passed the exam.

For International Medical Students, we require six (6) months of US clinical experience (observation alone does not count). Applicants must have graduated within the previous five (5) years. USF sponsors J1 Visas for those accepted into our program. ECFMG certification is required before submission of our rank list. We receive hundreds of requests for interviews each year so interviews are by invitation only after review of your completed application.

We typically interview two to three days a week from October through January. Interviews will be virtual this year. Our program will use ZOOM. Invitations are made through email, so please make sure your contact information is correct.

Please review our website and submit your application through ERAS. If you have any additional questions, please contact Kelly Paulina, our program manager at paulina@usf.edu or (813) 259-8693 for more information.

While we are working remotely, we strongly prefer you to communicate via email

We look forward to hearing from you!
