Division of Otology-Audiology

Overview

The USF Health Department of Otolaryngology, Division of Otology, Audiology Section is committed to providing excellent patient care to a regionally and socially diverse group of patients. Our team of skilled otolaryngologists and audiologists are specially trained to help you with all aspects of ear health and disease. This includes a wide range of conditions such as hearing loss, ear infections, dizziness, balance problems, and congenital (birth) disorders of the ear.

USF Health Audiology Section is committed to the training and education of our undergraduate students, audiology graduate clinicians, PhD students, post-doctoral students, medical students, residents, fellows, practicing physicians, and the community. Our mentorship programs are large and robust, with excellent clinical training and patient resources across the spectrum of Audiology, as well as a rich and detailed didactic curriculum.

The Audiology Section also maintains a Division of Research to expand the frontiers of knowledge in Audiology and Otolaryngology. The Auditory Rehabilitation and Clinical Trials (ARCT) Lab conducts studies in the areas of diagnostics, hearing health disparities, speech perception, cognition, and hearing rehabilitation through hearing aids and investigational medications. Our mission is to advance knowledge through interdisciplinary teaching, research, and service that improves the capacity of individuals, families, and diverse communities to promote productive, satisfying, healthy, and safe lives across the lifespan.

As an academic medical center, USF Health Department of Otolaryngology Audiology Section is a regional leader in audiological services.
