Student Life and Involvement

Becoming a PA is a rigorous journey, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun while earning your degree. We have many opportunities for involvement within the USF community, build collaborative relationships with your peers, and foster engagement in the learning environment. Participating in outside activities helps foster life balance and self-care while meeting your goals of becoming a healthcare professional.

Activities & Events

  • Commitment to Professionalism Ceremony
The Commitment to Professionalism Ceremony is designed to introduce new physician assistant students to the medical profession and its characteristics of professionalism, humanism and empathy in medicine. Each student will receive a white coat signifying their transition into the healthcare profession. All students in the incoming PA class are expected to participate in this ceremony. Ceremonies are typically held in late May of each year.
