Biographical Sketch

Dr. Shutter completed his clinical internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital followed by residency in Anatomic Pathology at Columbia University. His sub-specialty training in Breast and Gynecological Pathology was done at the University of Virginia.
He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology, where he is the Associate Residency Program Director and Co-Director for the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Course. Dr. Shutter holds a secondary faculty appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He actively publishes in the medical literature and is an author of several book chapters.
Dr. Shutter’s career and scientific contributions are dedicated to advancing women’s health care. In association with the Breast Health Program, at the new Morsani Center, his expertise brings extraordinary value to the delivery of patient care.
