Each year, our organization prepares for and conducts a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic to provide medical services to the underserved population in the Jarabacoa region. We rely on contributions from the community for pharmaceuticals to use during clinics and for funds to send our 50 volunteers on the trip, including physicians, residents, nurses, and medical students.

Project World Health is a student-run organization with the mission to:
  • Provide medical care and education to underserved populations in an international setting.
  • Promote education and dialogue on global health issues in the community and the University.
  • Develop sustainable initiatives that will leave lasting benefits to those we serve.
  • Give future physicians exposure to clinical medicine in the preclinical years, with an emphasis international health problems.
