Housed in Birmingham, Alabama, The NCSS partners with the University of South Florida to offer the nationally recognized course “PREPARE” for designed to educate coaches and others on key elements of basic sports safety.DJ Ortho
One of the world’s leaders in medical supplies, DJ Ortho has teamed up with SMART to advance the level of care provided to the Tampa Bay community. Through its generosity, members of the DJ Ortho team collaborate with SMART to provide athletic training care and coverage for local sporting events and orthopaedic clinical operations.USF Athletics
A natural partnership, the sports medicine department affiliated with USF Athletics works closely with SMART to provide education and outreach to those participating in various levels of sporting events.Premier Software, Inc.
Premier Software, Inc. is the developer of Simtrak MobilityTM, an injury registry software program that the SMART Institute has customized to collect accurate and timely documentation for our community outreach sports safety initiatives. This program will help us to analyze injury patterns leading to the development of ideas and programs designed to make sports safer in our community.Sports Medicine Concepts
Sports Medicine Concepts is devoted to delivering outstanding professional development and continuing education in the area of emergency care for sports medicine events. The SMART Institute has teamed up with Sports Medicine Concepts to provide the nationally recognized course “In 2-Minutes or Less!” to our community medical providers. In addition, SMC and the SMART Institute have plans to collaborate on research designed to continuously assess and improve emergency care procedures in sports medicine environments.The Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation
The Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation, Inc.'s mission is to serve inner city youths who are at risk of dropping out of school by improving their self-esteem, character, work ethic, social adjustment, and academic performance. The SMART Institute is pleased to partner with this organization by teaching sports safety courses to the students who attend this Pinellas County school program. In addition, certified athletic trainers and physicians from USF Health provide first aid coverage for the Annual Chi Chi Charity Golf Classic benefiting the foundation.Hillsborough County
Hillsborough County schools has been one of SMART’s greatest supporters. Through this relationship, SMART provides ten (10) certified athletic trainers to the county’s secondary schools, enhancing the coverage and care for student athletes on a daily basis. This relationship has benefited over 4,000 student athletes who previously did not have the services of a full time athletic trainer present.Pinellas County
Leaders from the SMART Institute have partnered with the Pinellas County School District to provide sport and physical education safety courses to coaches and physical education teachers throughout the county. This unique educational program is custom-designed for the school district to meet their specific needs of risk prevention.
