Michele McCoy, M.A., A.T.C., C.S.C.S.
Michele McCoy is a certified athletic trainer (ATC) with the USF Health's Sports Medicine and Athletic Related Trauma (SMART) Institute. Michele is currently working at Freedom High School in Tampa.
Michele comes to SMART from the United States Tennis Association (USTA) in Key Biscayne, FL, where she worked as a certified athletic trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) to the nations top junior and professional tennis players. Prior to the USTA, Michele worked in San Diego, CA in a sports medicine clinical setting treating professional, collegiate and amateur athletes. During this time, Michele also served as the certified athletic trainer for a local high school.
Michele earned a Master's Degree in sport psychology from San Diego State University after receiving her Bachelor's Degree in exercise Science from Appalachian State University.
Michele is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Southeastern Athletic Trainers' Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She currently holds certifications as both an athletic trainer and strength and conditioning specialist.
Michele is a fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. She enjoys running, triathlons and playing tennis.
