Class of 2014

Brian White, MD

Brian is a Florida native and a member of the class of 2014. He graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Communications and obtained his medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Prior to starting residency Brian was an acclaimed player in a traditional form of Japanese traditional theater known as Bunraku.

Chuck Nalley, MD

Chuck is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and a member of the Class of 2014. Chuck has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas, where he was a four year letterman, team captain, and special teams phenomenon for the Razorback football team. He worked as an engineer in natural gas pipeline design before sojourning to medical school. He is an alumnus of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Chuck's interests and include orthopaedics and spending time with his wife and son.

Matt Stein, MD

Matt is originally from Allentown, PA. He received his undergraduate degree from Haverford College, outside of Philadelphia, where he played basketball and tennis. He completed his medical school training at New York University in 2009. He is a member of the class of 2014.

Michael Doarn, MD

Mike is an Ohio native and a member of the class of 2014. He received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University with Honors and Distinction and is an avid Buckeyes fan. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He enjoys traveling, athletics, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. He plans on pursuing a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery following residency.

Class of 2015

Antony Denard, MD

Antony is from Les Cayes, Haiti. He graduated from NC State University with degrees in Microbiology and Biological Sciences. He received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College. Antony is interested in all aspect of orthopedics and enjoys playing soccer, fixing computers and spending time with his wife traveling.

Kristopher Collin, MD

Jeremy Miles, MD

Jeremy is from Greenville, NC. He attended Duke University for undergraduate training, earning a B.S. in biology, and continued at Duke for medical school. He and his wife, Amie, enjoy traveling, running, and spending time with family.

Ian Smithson, MD

Ian graduated from the University of Richmond with honors and received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. Ian is interested in all aspects of orthopedic surgery and enjoys spending free time with his wife and building furniture. He plans to pursue a fellowship after completion of his residency training.

Class of 2016

Katie Crum, MD

Katie is a native Floridian and received both her undergraduate and medical school degrees from USF. She is a member of the 2016 class. She played basketball and volleyball competitively. She went to nationals twice for basketball and is currently coaching a youth basketball league. Her orthopedic interests include sports and trauma.

Michael Lago, MD

Michael is originally from Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and completed his medical degree from university of Texas at Houston. He is a member of the Class of 2016. His hobbies include sports, mechanics and carpentry.

Jake Conjeski, MD

Jake is originally from McMechen, West Virginia and is a member of the class of 2016. He received both a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Medical Degree from West Virginia University. At this time his orthopaedic interests are broad, and after residency he plans on completing a fellowship.

Seth Cooper, MD

Seth received his undergraduate degree from Washington University and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the Class of 2016. His hobbies include wakeboarding, waterskiing, golfing, road biking and professional football.

Class of 2017

John Groundland, MD

John is a member of the class of 2017. He attended the University of Delaware, receiving his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. He went on to complete the graduate program in Physical Therapy at Duke University. After practicing physical therapy, he returned to school and obtained his medical degree from the University of South Florida. His professional and research interests focus on orthopedic oncology.

Cooper was born and raised in Mobile, AL and is a member of the class of 2017. He received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University and his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He is an avid fan of the Auburn Tigers, New Orleans Saints, and the Chicago White Sox. His orthopaedic interests are broad

Roger B. Gaskins III, MD

“Casey” is a native of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and a member of the class of 2017. He graduated Summa cum laude from the University of Florida and remained at UF for medical school where he graduated with Honors. Prior to residency, Casey completed a research fellowship with the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education specializing in biomechanics. He remains active in research and has published several articles. In his free time, Casey enjoys baseball, golf, volleyball, and remains an avid Gator fan. He plans to pursue a fellowship after residency.

David Donohue , MD

David was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. Before joining the class of 2017 he received his BS and MD from USF. His orthopaedic interests include trauma and arthroplasty. Outside the hospital David enjoys spending time with his wife Grace, keeping up with football, and losing a few balls on the golf course.
