Biography
Dr. Pescasio sees sports medicine patients the USF Medical Center. A team physician for USF Athletics, she provides comprehensive medical services to the USF Bulls and works closely with the athletic training staff. Dr. Pescasio is affiliated with NFL Europe and has extensive experience in the non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal complaints, sports-related injuries, and medical conditions affected by exercise. She has on-the-field experience caring for high school, collegiate, and professional athletes as well as recreational athletes.
Dr. Pescasio received her MD degree at Ross University School of Medicine in New York, and completed residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and a primary care sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham. She received fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine at UAB. Dr. Pescasio also holds a BS degree in exercise science from the University of Southern California, in Los Angeles. She is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
