The USF Center for Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery

is made up of highly trained urogynecologists, pelvic surgeons, gynecologists, imaging experts, and nurses, all experienced in the diagnosis and management of female pelvic floor disorders. We have working relationships with other specialists in Urology, Colorectal surgery, Physical Therapy, and Gastroenterology. We diagnose and treat a wide range of complex pelvic floor problems in women of all ages.

Who we treat

  • Laparoscopic treatment of pelvic organ prolapse
  • Traditional open surgeries to treat Pelvic Organ Prolapse
  • Trans Vaginal surgeries to treat prolapse and urinary/fecal incontinence
  • Sacral neuromodulation (INTERSTIM) for treating severe bladder and bowel control problems
  • Botox and pelvic floor physical therapy for treating severe pelvic floor, pain
  • Medical, behavioral and physical therapies to treat certain bladder control, and myofascial pain problems.

How we Diagnose

All of our patients have access to the latest state of the art testing at our facilities, including;

  • Advanced MRI, Ultrasound, and CT imaging
  • Multichannel urodynamic testing
  • Office Cystoscopy
  • Defecography and Colonic transit studies
  • Advanced neuromuscular studies, including EMG and nerve testing studies

When put together with our thorough clinical history nd physical examination, appropriate testing can help in diagnosing your pelvic floor problem. A proper diagnosis can help us design the best therapy for you, our patients.

How we treat

We consider your clinical history, your therapeutic needs, along with information from your physical exam, testing results, and reports from any prior treating physicians/surgeons, and we design a treatment plan which is well suited to your particular needs, symptoms, and medical condition.
