Biographical Sketch

Dr. El-Badri (Dajani) received her medical degree from Cairo University College of Medicine and her Ph.D. from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. Her postdoctoral training as a fellow of the American Heart Association was in the field of immune tolerance and bone marrow transplantation. She received research support from the American Heart Association, the NIH and several other foundations to support her research in the field of adult stem cell biology, autoimmune disease and women's health. She contributed more than 40 peer reviewed publications in these fields.

Dr. El-Badri (Dajani) has developed several graduate programs at USF College of Medicine including Aging and Neuroscience and Women's Health. She also led the development of several new interdisciplinary programs in Medicine &Gender, the Business of Medicine and Clinical Nutrition. She served as a member of the editorial boards of several journals and is a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition. She served extensively in the USF community and is a member of the USF Senate and Education Council. She was recognized for her efforts on promoting women's health research and education and received several awards from USF and the Tampa Bay community.
