Welcome to the The Department of Internal Medicine, one of 16 clinical departments in the U.S.F. College of Medicine.  Our mission is to obtain a level of performance in the areas of education, research and patient care that ranks among the elite in the nation. Each year we provide education and training for a diverse group of medical students, residents, fellows and allied health personnel from U.S.F. and around the world.  The Department's research activities are numerous and involve both basic and clinical research activities in all subspecialties of Internal Medicine. Patient Care occurs in our affiliated hospitals (Tampa General Hospital, Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute and the James A. Haley (Tampa) VA Hospital) as well as state-of-the art ambulatory health care centers. The Department of Internal Medicine's faculty represent a group of dedicated physicians well-recognized as leaders in all three of our mission areas.
