Since 2002, five Annual Updates on HIV/AIDS have been co-hosted by USF Health and academic partners in India. Over 2000 Indian physicians have participated in HIV update since its inception. Read physicians' journals about their experience in India during the last update.

January 7-8, 2006, the 5th Annual Update on HIV/AIDS: Bridging the Gap between Theory and Practice, co-sponsored by the Government of Maharashtra and USF Health's CHART–India was held in Mumbai, India. Over 600 physicians, healthcare providers and speakers participated, including infectious disease faculty from USF Health and leading researchers and scientists from India. Topics at the conference included sessions on HIV prevention, HIV co-infections, anti-retroviral treatment, private and corporate sector commitment, a clinical-community model for HIV/AIDS care and psychiatric aspects of HIV/AIDS.
