Prospective doctoral students are selected by an admissions committee that considers the overall qualities of the applicant. Areas of consideration include academic achievement, GRE scores, research experience and interests, and letters of recommendation. All selected candidates will be required to have personal interviews with members of the admissions committee. 


Ph.D. Program
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited university
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in the sciences
  • GRE score of 1100 (70 percentile) or higher
  • Personal Interview

  • General biology (1 year)
  • General chemistry (1 year)
  • Quantitative analysis (1 course)

 
  • General physics (1 year)
  • Biochemistry (1 year)
  • Organic chemistry (1 year)
  • Mathematics including integral and differential calculus
