"If you can't Log In when prompted for your USF Health account…"

 

1. Do you have an USF Health account?

No. * Contact I.S.

 

 2. Are you using the correct USF Health account?

You must use the USF Health account.

As of 1/5/05 all users must use the USF Health account NOT the OLD HSCPRIME account.

 

3. Are you entering your username correctly?

Your name: Joe Smith

Username: jsmith

 

NOT hscnet\jsmith

 

4.1 Are you entering your password correctly?

Num locks, cap locks off, etc.

 

4.2 Are you entering the correct password?

  1. Is this the password I.S. assigned you?

That may be the problem.

Call I.S. for help in changing the issued password as required by I.S.

 

  1. Is this the password you changed to one you created?

If you just changed it, then your password may not work with the Library databases yet because they have not synchronized with the I.S. systems. 

This synchronization takes place at least once every 24 hours.

 

 5. Are you following the right path?

  1. On USF Health CAMPUS: Click on database links along left side of HSC Library home page.
  2. OFF USF Health CAMPUS: Click on GREEN BUTTON (Insert Image here)
  3. Not Sure?? Feel free to call the Shimberg Health Sciences Library

6. Still having problems?

Your firewall may be blocking access.  Contact your IT department for help.

 

7. Is there something wrong with the Library database you're trying to use?

  1. Try another USF Health database.
  2. Feel free to call the Shimberg Health Sciences Library** to confirm the database you're trying to use is working okay.
