The H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, a 162-bed tertiary-care free-standing cancer center located on the main campus of the University of South Florida adjacent to the Medical School will serve as the primary training site. Moffitt’s large-volume in-patient and out-patient center offers services in the various medical and surgical subspecialties. Moffitt’s academic and clinical services are organized into 14 interdisciplinary, disease-oriented programs that encompass patient care, clinical research, education, and cancer control activities. The objectives of these programs are to provide interdisciplinary care for new and established patients, develop and conduct clinical research trials, establish collaborative links with appropriate basic science programs, and provide educational programs and training for medical students, house staff physicians, and fellows. Moffitt is the only National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the State of Florida and is listed in the U.S. News & World Report as one of the top cancer hospitals in America. The Division of Radiation Oncology has twelve Radiation Oncologists, one full-time Radiation Biologist, a Physics Director, Physics Chief and seven full-time Medical Physicists to teach residents.

The James A. Haley Veterans Administration Hospital, the busiest VA in the country, is a training hospital of the University of South Florida. The hospital, a 353-bed Dean’s Committee hospital, is located across the street from the University of South Florida, connected by a walkway. The hospital has as its mission compassionate patient care, education and research. The residents will gain a unique training experience at the James A. Haley Veterans Administration Hospital due to the exposure of a large representation of patients from socio-economically disadvantaged and indigent segments of society, and exposure to a higher incidence of advanced stage malignancies. The training faculty at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital consists of four Radiation Oncologists, and three Medical Physicists to teach residents.

All Children’s Hospital is a 216-bed private hospital near downtown St. Petersburg, adjacent to the St. Petersburg campus of the University of South Florida. It is just over 30 miles from the Moffitt Cancer Center and James A. Haley Veterans Administration Hospital. All Children's Hospital is a leading center for pediatric treatment, education and research. All Children's provides specialized care for children of all ages, from newborns through teens. It is one of two freestanding children's hospitals in the state of Florida, and the only one on Florida's west coast. All Children's Hospital was founded in 1926 as the American Legion Hospital for Crippled Children. Today it is the primary pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with the University of South Florida College of Medicine. More than 200 pediatric specialists and sub-specialists provide state-of-the-art medical and surgical care for children.  All Children’s Hospital has five full-time Pediatric Oncologists dedicated to training residents.
